At Leyton Dental Surgery, our priority is helping you achieve good oral health as well as a beautiful smile. We provide a whole range of treatments and services to meet your needs.
Hygiene and periodontal (gum) treatment
Maintaining good oral hygiene is paramount to achieving good oral health. Our hygiene treatments include professional cleaning and advice. Your dentist will advise you how often you need to come in for hygiene and gum maintenance. We can also provide private stain removal treatment using a technique called air abrasion, to get your teeth looking their best.
Fillings and crowns
Where we find you have teeth with decay, fracture or tooth wear, a filling or crown may be required. There are several types of fillings we can use, such as composite white fillings or amalgam fillings. You may also be recommended inlays, onlays or crowns, for a durable or aesthetic result. Your dentist will help you decide which is the most suitable for you.
Root canal treatment
Occasionally teeth with severe decay or fracture may get infected. Rather than extracting your tooth, if the tooth is restorable, your dentist may try to save your tooth by carrying out root canal treatment. This is where the nerve of the tooth and source of infection are cleaned out and sealed.
Sometimes teeth are beyond repair. In such circumstances, the tooth may need extraction. We have dentists who can also carry out more complex extractions and oral surgery available at Leyton Dental Surgery.
Replacing missing teeth
If you have missing teeth or if your teeth need to be extracted, there are several options available to replace them, including bridges, dentures or implants. Dental implants are often the best option, and can last a long time and feel comfortable in the mouth. If you have missing teeth and would like an implant consultation, please book in with us now.
At Leyton Dental Surgery, we are happy to welcome younger patients. Bringing in children to see the dentist from an early age helps them get used to routinely seeing the dentist, and also allows the dentist to look out for any early signs to prevent tooth decay. Bring your child in as soon as they have their first tooth.
If you are suffering from severe pain or have had trauma to your tooth which requires urgent attention, please call us as early as possible during the day, so we can try to accommodate you on the same day. If you are not an existing patient at our practice, we will try to arrange an emergency appointment for you, but cannot guarantee you will be seen within 24 hours.
